Collect less. Explain more.

Pixelridge Web operates SteadyPact and is responsible for the personal data described here (the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the data collector under Nepal's Individual Privacy Act, 2075). This policy covers the SteadyPact Android app and the public website at steadypact.com, including the free launch-update list, earlier guide requests, and the contact form. The app and the website are separate: using the app does not require the website, and the app never sends anything to the website.

The Android app in short

No account. There is no sign-up, login, or SteadyPact account. You do not give the app your name, email address, or phone number.
Everything stays on your phone. Your plan and Pacts, any focus or study sessions you start, the apps you chose, your daily scroll time, and your reasons are stored only on your device. SteadyPact has no server for app data, and nothing you enter is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Works offline. The app's only network use is small test DNS lookups that check whether your Private DNS filter is working.
No tracking or ads in the app. The app contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking code, and we do not sell or share app data, because we never receive any.
Adults only. SteadyPact is for people aged 18 and older.

Android permissions the app uses, and why

The app explains each special permission on its own screen before opening Android settings, and you can choose "Not now". You can withdraw any permission at any time in Android settings.

Usage Access. Used only to see which app is in the foreground right now, so SteadyPact can tell whether it is one of the apps covered by an active Pact. This check happens on the phone. SteadyPact does not build a history of the apps you use. For your scroll limit it keeps only a daily total of minutes spent on the apps you chose, for the last 14 days, and it does not send app usage anywhere.
Display over other apps. Used to show the SteadyPact pause screen on top of an app you asked to block while one of your Pacts is active.
Foreground service and notifications. Blocking runs as an Android foreground service, which Android requires to show an ongoing notification. That notification only says "Steady is on". A Pact you edit under Settings can optionally remind you before it starts; this is off unless you turn it on. Notifications are created on the phone; nothing is sent to us.
Start after restart. Lets the app resume your active Pacts after the phone restarts, the app updates, or the time zone changes.
Internet. Used only for the Private DNS test lookup described below.

Private DNS web filter

For Safe browsing, the optional adult-content web filter, you set Android's own Private DNS setting to Cloudflare's family filter (family.cloudflare-dns.com) yourself, in your phone's settings. SteadyPact does not change network settings and does not route your traffic through itself; it is not a VPN.

To show whether filtering is really working, the app looks up a known test address and an ordinary control address, and checks whether the filter blocked the test address. The lookup goes through the DNS provider you configured and contains no information about you or your browsing. SteadyPact does not see, record, or keep the websites you visit, your searches, or your browsing history. Cloudflare handles your phone's DNS requests under its own privacy policy once you choose its filter.

Pacts and other data stored on your phone

Your plan (night rest, scroll limit and any focus or study session you start) is saved as Pacts. Pacts, their schedules and protection levels, the apps each Pact covers, daily scroll-time totals, the reasons you write for yourself, and a short history of quiet moments are saved in the app's private storage on your device. Android backup is turned off for the app, so this data is not copied to a cloud backup. App screens are hidden from screenshots and the recent-apps view.

The quiet-moment screen can open your own messaging app with a message to someone you trust. SteadyPact never sends a message by itself; you choose whether to send it, and it goes through your messaging app, not through us.

Deleting app data

Because app data only exists on your phone, you control it completely. Uninstalling SteadyPact, or clearing its storage in Android settings, permanently deletes all of it. There is nothing for us to delete on our side, because we never receive it.

Older beta builds

Some early test builds had an optional accountability-partner email feature that used an online service. That feature has been removed. When a current version first opens after an update, it deletes any partner details and credentials an older build had stored on the phone. If you used that feature and want us to confirm removal of anything held by the old service, write to privacy@steadypact.com.

Website: free launch-update list

The public form requests an email address, country or region, confirmation that you are 18 or older, and your separate consent to receive launch emails. It does not ask for payment, browsing history, habits, relationship details, or health information.

Purpose: the email address is stored as a subscribed contact with our email provider so we can tell you about the SteadyPact launch and occasional product news. Country or region is used to decide where to launch and which languages to add first. We do not use this data for anything else, and we never sell or share it for advertising.

Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the consent box. You can withdraw it as easily as you gave it, with the one-click unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to privacy@steadypact.com. Withdrawing does not affect emails already sent.

Website: earlier guide requests and contact messages

We no longer offer the downloadable guide. If you requested it before September 27, 2026, your email address and request date are held with our email provider in a separate guide-requests list that is never used for launch updates, and are deleted within the retention period below or sooner if you ask. If you use the contact form, your name, email address and message are emailed to the Pixelridge Web inbox so we can reply, and are kept only as long as needed to handle your message.

Website providers

Vercel hosts the website and may process ordinary request, IP address, browser, timestamp, performance, and security information. Resend stores launch-list contacts and sends website emails. These providers process data outside India and Nepal, including in the United States, and are given only the information needed for their role. None of them receive data from the Android app.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

The public website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising pixels or third-party tracking scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact Google when you visit. The only cookie is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie on a private staff page that visitors never see.

If we ever add analytics or advertising to the website, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie or tracker is set. The app will never contain ads or trackers.

Website retention

Launch-list data is kept until you unsubscribe, until launch emails end, or for at most 24 months after you sign up, whichever comes first. Guide requests are kept for at most 12 months. An unsubscribed address may be kept in a limited suppression list only so we never email it again.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what website data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Under India's DPDP Act you can also nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to. Under Nepal's Individual Privacy Act your data is used only for the purpose you consented to. Write to privacy@steadypact.com. We may need to confirm the request comes from the owner of the email address before making a change.

Grievances and complaints

Our grievance contact is the SteadyPact privacy team at privacy@steadypact.com. We will acknowledge a complaint within 7 days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are in India and are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in Nepal, you may raise it with the relevant Nepali authority. This policy is available in English; write to us if you need it explained in Hindi or Nepali.

Security, age, and changes

SteadyPact is intended for adults aged 18 and older. The app asks you to confirm this on first launch and the website forms ask the same. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it. We use minimal collection, server-side validation on the website, and provider security features appropriate to the information being handled. If a personal data breach affects website data, we will tell affected people and the authorities as the law requires. No software can promise perfect security.

Material policy changes receive a new date and, when required, renewed notice or consent. Questions can be sent to privacy@steadypact.com.
